What are Bookery’s trading hours?

Opening hours: Monday to Friday 10am to 5pm

Can’t get to our retail store? Shop online at Bookery anytime! Just use the menus on the left to browse by subject, category and level.

Which countries can you deliver to?

We can deliver anywhere in the world except the countries listed in our Shipping restrictions page. We require pre-payment to ship to certain countries, so make sure you check the Shipping restrictions page before ordering.

What payment methods can I use?

There are two ways you can pay for your products:

Payment online via credit card

We accept online payments using VISA or MASTERCARD.

IMPORTANT: Credit card purchases will appear as ‘CAVAL’ on your credit card statement.

Billed to My Account

If you have a Bookery Charge Account with us, you can choose to have your products sent directly to you or your organisation on invoice.

How do I get an education discount on my purchases?

If you represent a school, government organisation or other educational institution, sign up for a Bookery Charge Account for education discounts on your purchases. If you are a teacher, you can become a member as well and receive special benefits as well Charge Account

What do I get with my Bookery, Education Account?

Bookery, Education Accounts make it easier to order your education resources online. Your account keeps track of your billing and postage details, as well as past orders for re-ordering of regular items and easy record-keeping.

Your Bookery, Education account gives you:

  • automatically-calculated education discounts
  • convenient online ordering and quotes
  • the ability to purchase on invoice
  • saved searches and purchase history with My Lists, and
  • access to our newsletter.

Who are Education Accounts available to?

Bookery, Education Accounts are available to individual teachers, schools, government organisations and other education providers. Find out more or apply for your Education Account here .

How do I open an Education Account?

Opening an Education Account takes just two short steps:

  • First, visit our Education Account page and select the link that fits you the best. You can choose to join as an individual teacher, school or other educational institution.
  • Then, complete the online form and submit. You will receive a confirmation email with your account details.

If you prefer, you can download and print an application form, complete and fax to Bookery .

Once you receive your confirmation email, you can sign in with your account details and start buying online using your Education Account.

IMPORTANT: If you wish to register your school or educational institution, you must be an authorised purchasing officer for your organisation. If you are not authorised to make business agreements on behalf of your organisation, you can still register as an individual teacher and receive generous discounts and other benefits or otherwise, ask the appropriate person to register your organisation.

How long will it take for my purchase to arrive?

We aim to pack and ship your items to you on the same or next working day as we receive your order. In Australia, we ship via Australia Post and our normal shipping times are:

  • next day delivery in greater Melbourne metropolitan area.
  • within 48 hours from despatch to all Australian capital cities and country Victoria.
  • up to 3 days delivery to regional areas outside Victoria.

We ship to overseas customers via our airfreight service provider to that country. We will ship next day however, please allow 1-2 weeks for delivery. If an item is out of stock when you place your order and there is a delay of longer than 48 hours, we will contact you with an anticipated time of delivery and confirm you are happy to proceed despite a delay.

Can I pick up my online purchases in store?

Sorry, we do not provide for pick-up of online orders in store as all our orders are shipped from our warehouse.

How do I return a faulty product?

If you have purchased a product from us and it is defected or faulty and you wish to return it, please contact us by telephone or email during business hours (9am-5pm, Monday to Friday) within 14 calendar days of receiving it.

All returns must be authorised by Bookery . Unauthorised returns cannot be accepted so please do not just ship your products back to us before receiving authorisation for your return.

Contact us first and we’ll do our very best to resolve any issues as quickly as possible so that you are just as satisfied with our support as you are with our customer sales service.

Can you help me choose the right products?

Yes. We have a number of highly-trained language consultants and experienced ESL teachers who are always ready and happy to provide expert advice and recommend suitable materials to you. We can help you find the right products for your teaching or learning requirements.
